Music Scholarships

The choir offers an annual scholarship with a first prize of $1500 and, subject to a satisfactory standard, a second prize of $750. The Scholarship is open to any young person with proven musical ability, vocal and/or instrumental, aged between 12 and 15 years as at 1st January in the year following auditions. The award is designed to recognise the ability of outstanding young musicians, to encourage them to pursue their studies and to provide opportunities for the winners to perform publicly as associate artists with the choir.

Applications from young musicians are invited from May/June onwards in each year and details are published on this web site at that time.

Privacy / Protection: The Choir is committed to providing a safe environment for children.  Applications will be treated as confidential. Details of a personal nature will not be disclosed publicly without prior consent of the applicant and parent / guardian. Conduct of the Scholarship and any matters relating thereto will at all times be consistent with provisions of the Choir Child Protection Policy. The Choir has a Child Protection Policy which can be viewed at the following link.
